A community works best when everyone knows
what to expect from each other.
Before joining The Empower Collective, please review the important terms below. We've put the things you really need to know in plain language, with links to the full Member Agreement and related policies to review them in full.
You'll confirm your agreement when you submit your membership application.
If you prefer plain-text documents, you can find the policy document here:
In plain language:
As a member of The Empower Collective, you agree to:
Peer support isn’t professional advice.
The Collective is primarily a place for education, connection, and peer support. Unless specifically stated otherwise, information shared here isn't individualized medical, legal, financial, therapeutic, tax, or other professional advice.
Be kind & respectful.
Treat other members, volunteers, presenters, and community partners with dignity. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, threats, and other harmful behavior are not welcome here.
Respect privacy.
What someone shares about their health, disability, business, finances, personal life, or circumstances is theirs to share. Don’t take personal information or private conversations outside the community without permission.
Don’t use the community as a sales funnel.
The Collective is a place to build relationships, learn, and support one another, not a captive audience for unsolicited sales pitches, recruiting, fundraising, or promotional messages. Multi-level marketing (MLM) sales and team recruiting is not permitted.
Membership is not endorsement.
Members’ businesses are not endorsed or promoted by The Empower Network. You are responsible for any purchases, business transactions, interactions, or outcomes with other members.
Respect other people’s work.
We want members to share ideas and resources without worrying that their work will be taken and repackaged by someone else. Don’t copy, redistribute, sell, publish, or commercially use The Empower Network’s or another member’s content, resources, ideas, presentations, templates, or materials without written permission.
Help us protect the community.
Follow our Community Standards and Safeguarding Policies, respect boundaries, and tell us when something happens that may put a community member at risk.
