About the application fee
As a nonprofit that runs largely on volunteer support, every contribution helps cover the administrative costs of keeping this community running. This is not meant to be a barrier - we have discounts for those that inquire via our contact form.
Why we have an application process
Open-door communities are great in theory. In practice, a community built for chronically ill, disabled, and neurodivergent people requires a layer of intentionality that a simple sign-up form can't provide. The application helps us ensure that everyone who joins is here for the right reasons - and that the space remains safe for our members and staff.
