Yes. The KC Disability Collective is a project of The Empower Network, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations made through this form are designated to support the KC Disability Collective. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

KCDC is not a direct financial assistance program. Donations support the KC Disability Collective's work to strengthen connections, information-sharing, and resource navigation across the Kansas City disability ecosystem to help connect people with the resources they need when they need it.

The KC Disability Collective is coordinated and fiscally managed by The Empower Network, Inc. The Empower Network is responsible for receiving contributions, managing project funds, maintaining financial records, and ensuring funds are used to advance the Collective's work.

Absolutely. Businesses, foundations, and organizations can support the Collective through sponsorships, grants, financial contributions, and eligible in-kind support. Organizations interested in a larger partnership or sponsorship can contact us to discuss opportunities.

The exact catchment area of this project is still being determined, but we follow the guidelines of travel for support: if people from this area would typically travel to the KC area to get disability support, that is likely included. This could be as far at St. Joseph, Topeka, or Warrensburg, or further. The exact boundaries will be determined in our feasibility study.

No. Financial support is never required to be part of the KC Disability Collective community. Individuals and organizations can participate, share resources, attend community conversations, and contribute to the Collective in many different ways.
